Description
You spend extra time on your attack and try to hit specific areas of your opponent's anatomy. By default, this causes ability damage to one of your opponent's physical ability scores (Str, Con, or Dex).\nSkill level 6: Instead of ability damage, a successful attack can cause d6 HP of ongoing damage per round.\nSkill level 10: Instead of ability damage, a successful attack can affect the target's hearing.\nSkill level 12: Instead of ability damage, a successful attack can affect the target's speech organs.\nSkill level 15: Instead of ability damage, a successful attack can affect the target's vision.\nSkill level 18: Instead of ability damage, a successful attack can dispel magical effects.
If the weapon attack hits and deals damage, the secondary attack has the following effects:\nS - Your opponent suffers 1 point of ability damage. For the bleeding effect, it lasts for just 1 round. For dispelling, a single effect (the one with lowest PL) is dispelled if its PL is lower than your skill level. For the other effects, the target suffers a -2 penalty on actions involving hearing, verbal, and vision, respectively, for the rest of the encounter.\nES - Your opponent suffers d4 points of ability damage. For the bleeding effect, it lasts for the rest of the encounter. For dispelling, two effects (the ones with lowest PL) are dispelled if their PL are lower than your skill level. For the other effects, the target suffers a -4 penalty on actions involving hearing, verbal, and vision, respectively, for the rest of the encounter.\nCS - Your opponent suffers d6 points of ability damage. For the bleeding effect, it lasts until treated or healed. For dispelling, all active effects with PL lower than your skill level are dispelled. For the other effects, the target is permanently deafened, muted, or blinded, respectively.\nF - No effect other than the attack's regular damage.
