Description

You restore life to a creature that has been dead for a maximum of one day per skill level. The creature's soul must be free and willing to return. Creatures that have been turned into undead, killed by necrotic damage, or died of old age incur a penalty on the spellcasting check (see Resurrection in Core Mechanics). Apply a further penalty of -10, if the spell is not cast on the plane where death occurred.\nBeing resurrected is quite a traumatic experience and typically involves some memory loss (see the generic resurrection rules for exact amount of XP lost).\nThe resurrection spell heals the target's body of any fatal injuries (as well as non-magical poison and disease), but the creature still wakes up severely weakened (set current HP, SP, and PP equal to the creature's TL). Missing body parts are not restored. Any ability damaged to 0 is restored to 1.\nGreater resurrection: You can restore life to a creature that has been dead for up to 10 years per skill level. You also halve the check penalty for targets turned undead, killed by necrotic damage, or killed on another plane. All you need is some portion of the creature's body. The creature wakes up with full HP, SP, and PP, but still loses XP.

Variations & Options:

Greater resurrection option: You can restore life to a creature that has been dead for up to 10 years per skill level. You also halve the DC increase for targets turned undead, killed by necrotic damage, or killed on another plane. All you need is some portion of the creature's body. The creature wakes up with full HP, SP, and PP, but still loses XP.
