Description

The target becomes able to understand the spoken or written words of one or more languages. You do not have to identify or name the language - hearing or seeing the language is enough.\nUnder most circumstances, it is possible to read and understand one page (250 words) per minute.\nMagically hidden or encrypted writing may require an opposed skill check.\nIf you pay the extra cost for speech, target also becomes able to speak and write all of the chosen languages.

Variations & Options:

Speech option: The target also becomes able to speak and write all of the chosen languages.\nAnimal speech option (req Divine - Animals): The target becomes able to understand and communicate with all normal and monstrous animals. Note, however, that this does not automatically alter the attitude of an animal.\nPlant speech option (req Divine - Plants): The target becomes able to understand and communicate with all normal and monstrous plants. Note, however, that this does not automatically alter the attitude of a plant.
